At the Dear Calvin Project, we provide lasting memories for the families of fallen soldiers by creating heart-felt video testimonials from close colleagues of the service member.
We are a Non-Profit organization founded by Charles Jones, a Marine veteran who is passionate about preserving the memory of his fallen brothers and sisters in arms. Click here to learn more about the origin of the Dear Calvin Project.

"Calvin was four years four months when he lost his father to an IED in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, Calvin was at the age when he may never have any permanent memories of his father. I was afraid Calvin may only know his father through my stories of his dad so I sent a request to Jon’s fellow Marines to write Calvin a letter telling him about his dad. Out of this request Charles Jones created the Dear Calvin Project and we have been blessed beyond measure. The Marines who took the time to reach out through this project gave Calvin threads of his father. They gave him advice, told him candid stories of his dad and they eased his grief. These men told Calvin of his dad’s leadership abilities and that he wasn’t a likable guy at first. These men told Calvin his dad was a prankster and an avid fisherman. They told Calvin his father held himself to every standard he held his Marines to. These men gave a grieving boy multiple facets of his father. This tremendous gift will help give Calvin the courage and strength to get through difficult moments in his life. Moments when he would have looked to his dad for advice. These men reached out to a fallen Marine’s son and gave him parts of his Dad I could not have given him. We will always be greatful to the Dear Calvin Project and the men who reached out to give their memories and experiences of Jon to a son who may not have very many of his own."
